    New love is coffee,
    Warm, sweet, and caffeinated.
    It gives such a rush.

  2. love is generous
yet cruel, breaking us in two,
    making us want one.

    Love is a trickster,
giving us a taste of “one.”
    but keeping us two.

This isn’t quite the leap I’d hoped to make with another verse…

  4. Haha…I like it.

    two souls searching hard
join and hang on for dear life
    and then call it “love”.

    Love is the answer
to all these riddles we write
    of good and evil.

    This good and evil,
    the ways we see ev’rything,
    Are all in our minds.

When we let go of thinking
    And see not “other.”
